Friends, with the android phones and iPhones in trend and that too with good cameras, we have the option of taking an image of our documents, notes etc. There are many apps developed for this purpose available for free on Play Store and App store. While many of these apps give you an option to take an image of document, paper and store it in PDF format, all of them lack the feature of automatically scanning for boundaries of documents so that the image covers only the document, not the background or the area outside the boundaries. Further, all of these apps known as scanner do not have the option of cropping by the edges of the document even if some outer area has been taken into image while scanning the document by camera. To overcome all the limitations, Microsoft has developed one App specially for smartphones for scanning the documents and easily editing them for perfect cropping known as Office lens available on Play Store. This app does the excellent job as it allows us to select the edges of the document rather than the image irrespective of whether the document boundaries are parallel to the image boundaries or not. Recently, Microsoft has provided this app on Windows 10 also. So friends, I recommend you to download and use the app to make your life easy while scanning every small bit of information.
